Even towards the end of a busy academic year, KEHS girls are never too tired to recognise and celebrate academic stimulus!
L6th A level RS students were privileged to hear a paper from Dr Angela Harkins, recently appointed to an associate Professorship in Boston, USA. Dr Harkins, Marie Curie International Fellow, spoke on her research on grief and memorialisation. Her talk spanned Second temple Judaism and 21st century practices such as memorial tattoos – an amazing range of ideas!
The lively and insightful responses from students were commended by Dr Harkins who remarked that it was refreshing to see so many students keen to explore the meaning of religious rites.
